Meet Jason Freeland, a longtime franchising professional and NuVinAir’s newest Franchisee for Minnesota.
Freeland owns the protected rights to sell NuVinAir Global’s line of science-backed products for vehicles across the region, and has begun cultivating deals with dealerships, car rental companies, car washes, detail shops, and other automotive businesses. He plans on expanding into the North Dakota and South Dakota markets within the coming months.
Freeland has a rich and varied professional career. After earning a degree in accounting, Freeland offered his services to start-up companies as a contract chief financial officer.
“I learned a lot about what to do and what not to do in running a business,” Freeland said. “Over the 20 years I spentrunning various franchises and businesses, I learned to identify and capitalize on great opportunities.”
Opportunity knocks
“When NuVinAir Global presented itself, I immediately recognized that this product line could completely revolutionize the automotive industry,” he said. “And, given what is happening in the world around us, I cannot think of a timelier product line that offers a clean healthy interior for vehicles.”
Freeland said the repeat nature of the business also appealed to him. “In my previous business, it was a one-time sale to a customer,” he said. “With NuVinAir, once you cultivate a relationship, you earn a customer for life.”
NuVinCARES program
Due to the current pandemic, Freeland is opening his franchise market by offering first responders a free program called NuVinCARES.
“NuVinAir’s corporate office started this free program to help ease the burden on first responders,” Freeland said. “Franchisee owners can partner with a dealership to offer a free service and free NuVinAir treatments to all hospital and law enforcement workers.
“There is a franchise In Virginia where they set up NuVinCARE treatments in a hospital garage while the medical staff are at work caring for patients. They treated several hundred cars a day with these services. It feels great to be part of a company that is providing healthy solutions.”
Freeland is currently partnering with three Mazda dealers within Morrie’s Auto Group, an organization that owns 17 dealerships in Minnesota and Wisconsin. He is sponsoring a program to provide free oil changes and NuVinAir treatments to first responders.
“During these unprecedented times, it feels good to be part of a program that gives back to the community,” said Freeland. “Through the Mazda Essential Car Care Program, we were thrilled to offer free NuVinAir treatments to all first responders, enabling them to stop by any Morrie’s Mazda location and receive a proprietary treatment, powered by chlorine dioxide, to clean the air and surfaces in the vehicle by removing all pollutants, odors, and contaminants. With all their sacrifice, these heroes deserve to have confidence that they have a clean, healthy vehicle.”
Hard work meets success in Freeland’s life
Freeland believes the success he has achieved in life has come from his strong work ethic.
“My motto has always been ‘Nothing replaces hard work’ and I believe effort is the ingredient to success,” he said. “I am eager to begin developing and cultivating relationships. I want my customers to be successful right along with me.”
Personal enjoyments
When Freeland is not on the road meeting dealerships and developing relationships, he takes full advantage of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes.
“I have three kids – two boys age 15 and 11 and a girl who is nine-years-old,” he said. “We have a lake cabin and we go there to fish, water ski and participate in all of the water activities. My sons also complete in dirk bike racing, so that takes up a lot of our time traveling to and from events.“
