NuVinCARES in Utah: Lending a Helping Hand to First Responders.

Thanks to Ken Garff Automotive Group and NuVinAir Utah, the West Valley City Police department in Salt Lake City now have 26 fresh and clean patrol cars.

Steven Steenblik, manager of NuVinAIr Utah, said the decision to give these responders a free cleaning treatment was an easy decision to make.

“My brother just retired after 32 years as assistant chief of police, so I know how much officers live in their vehicles. The things they encounter and have happen in their cars can be pretty intense,” said Steenblik.

Steenblik says he teamed up with Terry Baird, the General Manager of Ken Garff Automotive Group just after the founder of the Ken Garff Automotive passed away from COVID-19.

“This pandemic has been incredibly hard for everyone and losing the founder of Garff Automotive made a big impact on everyone here. Terry and I determined we needed to partner together to find a way to give back to first responders. I told Terry we should start with the West Valley City Police Department and he agreed,” he said.

After they treated the police fleet, Steenblik and the participating employees of Garff Automotive also went across the street to a regional hospital where they volunteered 20 more free ReFresh treatments at a regional hospital to first responders employed there.

“It just felt so good to have a product that you know can help people and give them a peace of mind that they didn’t have before,” he said.

“The officers loved how clean and fresh their cars were. They were also fascinated with the science behind NuVinAIr. I explained that through our patented cyclone system, NuVinAir’s ReFresh treatment dispels a dry, hygienic vapor of an eco-friendly blend of chlorine dioxide. They seemed to really appreciate that our process cleans hard to reach areas in vehicles that sprays and wipes simply cannot,” said Steenblik.

As a way to help drive business to area dealerships, Steenblik and his partner Vince Shaw have been offering a buy-one-get-one-free offer to area dealerships for the past two months. They are giving a free Refresh treatment with every purchase of a NuVinAir Restore treatment. The offering is seeing success as more dealerships are recognizing the importance of having clean healthy cabin interiors.

“We are also encouraging the dealerships to give back to their area first responders by offering the free ReFresh treatment to customers who are doctors, nurses, police, fire and military personnel. So far, they are very receptive to the idea and many want to do their part to give first responders peace of mind about their vehicles,” said Steenblik.
