“NuVinAir Nine” with Jason Freeland

What is the best advice you have ever received, and from whom?

Block and tackle. If you block and if you tackle the issues in front of you, success will follow. From John Donnelly, my early mentor in the turnaround business.

What was your life journey before NuVinAir?

I started my career in startups, and turnarounds, giving me unique experience to see why other businesses have been successful and why they have failed.

What do you enjoy most about owning a NuVinAir franchise?

Helping our customers solve a real, tangible problem, providing great customer service, and then watching the orders come in.

What has been your biggest challenge in owning a franchise, and how did you overcome it?

Not being in control of initiatives that, in my opinion, need to get done and with more urgency. You just need to express your concerns and focus on what you can control.

What is your best skill as a franchise owner?

With my background of being involved with many businesses in the past, I can quickly tell what will be successful or when they will fail.

What does success mean to you?

To make a lot of money affording me to do the things I want while maintaining a good work/life balance.

If you could invite any four people to dinner, dead or alive, who would you invite and why?

My wife and my kids. They are the most important people to me.

What is one unique thing about you someone wouldn’t learn until they got to know you?

I come across as a pretty laid-back person, but as you get to know me, my hyper-competitive nature comes out.

What’s the number one item on your life “bucket list”?

To see my boys fulfill their dream of being professional Snocross/Motocross racers.
