“NuVinAir Nine” with Ilario Sanzo

What is the best advice you have ever received, and from whom?

My best advice was from my parents, “work hard for things you want in life.” That has stuck with me from an early age seeing them do this.

What was your life journey before NuVinAir?

Over 20 years of experience working in various finance roles for Consumer Products such as Playtex, Henkel, and Beiersdorf.

What do you enjoy most about owning a NuVinAir franchise?

Building relationships with customers and helping them solve a problem that they have which they might not admit to. We know our products work, but seeing how customers react after a demo is truly amazing.

What has been your biggest challenge in owning a franchise, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge of being a NuVinAir franchisee is educating potential customers on what we do and who we are. We face this every day when we meet new customers for the first time. We’ve just adapted to make sure we are ready and come prepared to discuss who we are and what we can do with them.

What is your best skill as a franchise owner?

Just building relationships – I always have had the ability to relate and connect with individuals.

What does success mean to you?

Success is achieving what you want in your life; setting a goal and objective, and striving to achieve that.

If you could invite any four people to dinner, dead or alive, who would you invite and why?

My Grandfathers – I’m first-generation Italian, so I met my mom’s dad only twice, and my fathers’ dad passed away before I was born.

Pele – One of the greatest soccer players to ever play. I watched him play his last professional game, where he played a half for Santos (the Brazilian team he played for) and a half with the New York Cosmos.

Joe Pesci – The main character in some of my favorite movies, and I’m sure I would have a great laugh.

What is one unique thing about you someone wouldn’t learn until they got to know you?

I love playing and being around soccer. I coach a U11 boys team that my younger son is on and a U10 girls team. I also ref high school soccer games if I’m not busy coaching.

What’s the number one item on your life “bucket list”?

Not sure if this will ever happen but going to a Super Bowl watching the Dallas Cowboys play with my two sons would be incredible. I’m a big fan, and now my sons are as well.
