SCENIC FALL ROAD TRIPS IN THE GREAT STATES OF ARIZONA AND FLORIDA.

If you live in or near the great states of Arizona and Florida, it’s time to add a page to your memory book. These two states have some of the most breathtaking scenery in the country and we all know taking a road trip can be rejuvenating to your spirit and good for your soul.

Arizona:
If you haven’t been to the Grand Canyon, what are you waiting for? It’s time to gas up the car and get ready to check this trip off your bucket list.  

Grand Canyon

One of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon is 2,000 miles in area. You can choose from several different routes, so whether you are starting from Colorado, Texas, California, Las Vegas or Utah, there are unforgettable routes from each destination. One of the most popular trips is located on the North Rim on the Bright Angel Trail. This beautiful trail has campgrounds, ranger stations, water and emergency phones.

Sedona

A must-see in Arizona is the landmark known as Cathedral Rock. Strutting up among the red buttes and sandstone, it makes its presence known. Make reservations to stay at Sky Ranch Lodge and you will be treated to majestic views overlooking the cliffs and the city. A quick walk from the lodge is a restaurant known as Mesa Grill. Overlooking a vast red rock canyon, you can watch pilots take off while you eat a delicious breakfast.

Painted Desert

The Painted Desert, approximately 146 square miles in size, has the world’s largest and most colorful petrified wood. For this 28-mile trip, you’ll need about 45 minutes to drive through, but trip advisors suggest allotting two hours so you can stop, hike and take in panoramic views, and visit the visitor center. Make reservations to stay at the Painted Desert Inn and take the opportunity to take some jaw-dropping photos of the red, orange, pink and purple rocks.

Florida:

Home to the Daytona 500, driving is in the very nature of Floridians. To properly road trip in Florida, you’ll need a reliable car, or even better, a campervan. If you have a campervan or RV, you can skip paying for all of the hotel rooms that charge a premium because they sit near the ocean.

Florida Keys

As long as you don’t mind bridges, the four-hour drive from Miami to Key West is gorgeous. The overseas highway, known as Highway 1 is approximately 100 miles in length and island hops from Key Largo to Key West. Each of the keys has their quirky claims to fame, but Islamorada is considered one of the most beautiful. Known as the sport fishing capital of the world, anglers come from all over the world to fish for trophies. Book a cottage at The Moorings Village, which is ranked number one of the 18 hotels on the island and stay where they filmed the Netflix hit Bloodline. Walk the private beach where Vogue magazine has done hundreds of location photoshoots on their pristine white sandy beaches. Travel on down through the lower keys until you get to Key West. At Key West, you can tour the Key West Lighthouse, visit Hemingway’s home, and take a required photo at the Southernmost Point Buoy.

Everglades

One of the largest parks in the country, thousands hop in their vehicle and enjoy the ride along U.S. 41. Known as a slice of Old Florida, Highway 41 will reveal an impressive ecosystem. Wildlife observation decks and airboat operators abound in this area and it’s worth the price to take a boat ride to see the wildlife, including alligators.

Oceanfront A1A

For this roadtrip, a convertible top is optimal along with a great soundtrack. This highway travels along the coast for hundreds of miles and goes through beautiful destinations such as Amelia Island to St. Augustine. With wide beaches, historic towns, you can enjoy the ocean air as you travel this smooth and refreshing tour of Florida’s finest.
